Alfred's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, faith and friends along with his remarkable work ethic and contributions to the community.

A proud graduate of Hudson High School, Class of 1953, Alfred furthered his education by earning a degree in Architectural Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts in 1956. His kindness and humor were Hallmark of his personality, traits that he instilled in his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with valuable life lessons, and moral convictions.

His commitment to community services shined brightly throughout his life. He was an active parishioner in both the former Christ the King Parish and St. Michael’s Parish in Hudson. He served as an usher and greeter at the church, always greeting parishioners with joy and bidding them farewell with a warm smile. His engagement extended to being a member of different unions: The United Auto Workers UAW, The National Association of Realtors, NAR, the Holy Ghost Society, and the Portuguese Continental Union showcasing his dedication to both his profession and his heritage.

One of Alfred's proudest moments was when he was honored and awarded by the Portuguese Embassy and other Dignitaries for being the oldest living member of the Hudson Portuguese Club at the Centennial Gala in 2019.

In his private life, Alfred cherished the time he spent with family and friends. He often enjoyed the outdoors through hunting and golfing as well as, attending his grandchildren’s and great- grandchildren’s sporting events.

Along with his beloved wife, Maria, Alfred loved to travel to various global destinations, particularly favoring Europe and the United States.

They attended many social events together, particularly dinner dances within the Portuguese community as they both loved and enjoyed dancing, as he was a member of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and his desire to perfect the art of dancing.

He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing the lottery, cards and cribbage.
