Andrea W. Fiske, 77, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Andrea's early years began in Manhattan as the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Doris (Marlin) Aaronson. At the age of nine, she moved to Sarasota, Florida, where she began shaping the life that so many later admired. She graduated from Sarasota High School in 1967, displaying early signs of her determination and dedication to education. Her pursuit of higher learning took her to Boston University, where she earned her degree in 1971, and, ever devoted to personal growth, Andrea received her Master’s Degree from Lesley University in 2007.
Throughout her life, Andrea's path led her through many communities—each leaving an imprint of her warmth and spirit. From Hingham to Southborough, then on to Atlanta, Georgia and Scottsdale, Arizona, she embraced new experiences and friendships. Eventually, Andrea and her husband Jim made their home in Westford, Massachusetts, before settling in Berlin, where she has resided since 2012.
Andrea’s career was a testament to her compassion and commitment. She dedicated many years as a special education teacher within the Shrewsbury Public School system and later for the Town of Methuen, from which she retired. Through her teaching, Andrea touched countless lives, offering not only knowledge but also understanding, patience, and kindness to her students and colleagues.
Those who knew Andrea remember her as someone always impeccably dressed and notably organized. Beyond her professionalism, her caring nature and capacity for friendship and love left lasting impressions. To those closest to her, Andrea wasn’t just a mother—she was a best friend and confidante. Her relationship with her husband Jim stood as a testament to a partnership built on love and enduring friendship, cherished by all who witnessed it.
Andrea also held a deep passion for travel. She enjoyed exploring destinations across Europe, with Italy always holding a special place in her heart. These travels brought her endless joy and new perspectives, which she shared readily with family and friends.
Andrea is survived by her devoted spouse, James Fiske, her cherished daughter, Jennifer Hitchcock, and her beloved brother, Robert Marlin.
