Barbara Ann Bazarian, born on October 27, 1958, in Waltham, MA, passed away on October 24, 2025. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, whose life was filled with compassion and dedication to her family and career.
Barbara devoted over two decades of her professional life to the Medical Coding field, excelling in her role at United Healthcare, where she was highly regarded for her commitment and expertise. She was a proud graduate of Waltham High School, class of 1976, and furthered her education by earning an Associate's Degree from Boston University and obtaining certification in Medical Coding from Clark University.
Raised in Waltham, Barbara settled in Marlborough, MA, following her marriage to Bruce A. Bazarian. Together, they formed a loving partnership that lasted 40 years and raised a wonderful family, creating countless treasured memories along the way. Bruce and Barbara’s relationship flourished in their shared commitment to family values, kindness, and mutual support.
Barbara’s kind and generous spirit was evident to all who knew her. She consistently sought to assist others, no matter the ask or circumstance and always in her gentle and understated manner. Her passions extended beyond her career; she found joy in cooking and often delighted in trying and perfecting new recipes. Additionally, Barbara had a keen interest in reading and spent many hours immersed in books. She had a love, and great pride for New England. She appreciated the rich history of the region and always looked forward to the many visits to Dorsett, Vermont with Bruce. Barbara found awe in nature and loved to watch the birds out in the yard, especially in her favorite season, winter. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family. Saturday night dinners and family gatherings were some of her favorite times and she eagerly anticipated the arrival of her first grandchild.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Bruce; her son, Alex Bazarian, and his wife Andrea of Worcester, MA; her daughter, Jordan Bazarian, and her partner Jake Lill of Marlborough, MA; her mother, Margaret (Newell) Pina and her husband John Pina; her sister, Debra LeBlanc, and her husband Allen of Sudbury, MA; her half-sister, Linda Sampson and her husband Ricky of Maynard, MA; along with many other relatives and close friends who will remember her for her warmth and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank J. McEnaney. Barbara's legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life. Her memory will continue to inspire her family and friends, reminding them of the valuable gift of compassion she shared so freely.
Barbara's family will celebrate her life privately to honor her wishes. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home is honored to be assisting Barbara's family with arrangements.
