Vickie DiLauro

Jun 4, 1942 — Nov 4, 2026

Naples, FL

Blanche E. “Vickie” DiLauro, née Palmer, passed away on November 4, 2026, at the age of 84 in Naples, FL.

Born on June 4, 1942, in Framingham, Massachusetts, Vickie was raised on the family farm, Palmer Ranch, on Concord Road in Marlborough. A member of the Marlborough High School Class of 1960 and also the high school marching band, she carried with her throughout life the energy, warmth, and strong sense of connection that became hallmarks of who she was.

Vickie enjoyed a long and successful career as a beautician. She owned and operated DiLauro Hair Gallery on Central Street in Hudson from 1965 until 1979. She later moved to Orleans on Cape Cod, where she owned and operated Shearlocks, a salon she ran until 2000. That same year, she and her husband Ron retired to Naples, Florida.

She was a vibrant and social presence wherever she went. Friends often spoke of her “big” personality, and she was often at the center of both family gatherings and social events. Committed and driven to help others, Vickie served as President of the Ladies of the Elks Auxiliaries and stepped forward time and again to assist with and coordinate many other social events. Her unique smile brightened the room, and she was known for a warmth and friendship that left a lasting impression on those around her.

Vickie also found great joy in golf. She always looked forward to playing rounds with friends at Royal Wood Country Club in Naples, where she was a member. She was also an accomplished painter who loved spending time oil painting on the Cape. What began as a beloved hobby became a successful endeavor, as her paintings were appreciated and valued by many, reflecting her talent and creative spirit.

Above all else, family was Vickie’s passion in life. She treasured her loving husband of 64 years and always placed her children first, a devotion that later extended so naturally and joyfully to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald DiLauro of Naples, FL; her sons, Jeff DiLauro and his wife Marybeth of Florida and Michael DiLauro and his wife Stormy of Florida; her sister, Jean Goff and her husband Roger of Franklin, MA; and her grandchildren, Jordan DiLauro of Florida and Jillian Gonzalez and her husband Michael of Brewster, MA. . She also leaves behind her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She leaves a legacy of love and a life centered on family, friendship, and generosity.

Vickie was preceded in death by her father, George Palmer; her mother, Shirley (Bullard) Palmer; and her son, Ricky DiLauro who passed in 1990.
