Brigid B. Robertson, born on February 1, 1946, in Dublin, Ireland, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, at Marlborough Hospital, surrounded by her beloved family. Brigid's journey in life was marked by her dedication to her family, her warm spirit, and a deep-rooted sense of community.
Brigid immigrated from Dublin, Ireland to Hudson when she was 9 years old. She had a fulfilling career, spending over 20 years as a stock clerk for the Lockheed Martin Corporation, formerly known as Honeywell, until her retirement in 2010. Her work ethic and commitment were admirable, and she brought the same passion to her personal life.
A proud member of various local organizations including the Marlboro Moose Lodge, Hudson Amvets Post 208, and the Hudson Eagles, Brigid actively engaged in her community, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew her. Her generous nature made everyone feel welcome, and she created a special bond with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as "Gran Gran," an affectionate nod to her Irish roots.
Brigid's personality was one that inspired family and friends alike. She was known for her warm and giving spirit, which uplifted many. She found joy in a variety of hobbies, from playing bingo at the Hudson Boy's & Girl's Club to line dancing with her late husband, Jerry, and their friends. Their cherished camping trips at the Travelers Woods Campgrounds in Branson, VT, were a highlight of her family memories. Additionally, Brigid enjoyed sewing and crafting items for her loved ones, creating blankets, quilts, and clothing that reflected her caring nature.
Her family was her greatest passion, particularly in her later years, when she became a grandmother and great-grandmother. Brigid took immense pride in her role within the family, celebrating the joys of her 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Brigid was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jerry C. Robertson, who passed away in 2012 after 26 years of marriage. She also mourned the losses of her parents, Patrick Kavanagh and Elizabeth (Cullen) Kavanagh, as well as her sisters, Antoinette Slattery, Eileen Turner, and Patricia Gledhill.
