Clara I. (Pettigrew) Coffey

Clara I. “Tinka” (Pettigrew) Coffey, 88, of Marlborough, MA, passed away on Sunday June 11, 2023, after a brief illness.

Born on October 6, 1934, Tinka was the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Ashley) Pettigrew.

Tinka is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Coffey) Treen and her husband Philip of Hudson, MA; her son Michael Coffey and his wife Victoria of Hudson, MA; her grandson Andrew Treen of CT; her granddaughter Leslie Vieira and her husband Tiago of Sudbury, MA; two great-grandsons Jameson and Henry Vieira of Sudbury, MA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Tinka is predeceased by her parents Louis and Elizabeth; her husband Jack Coffey; her brothers Wilbur and John Pettigrew; and her sister Elizabeth (Pettigrew) Caradonna.

Raised in Cochituate, MA, she graduated from Wayland High School in 1952, and was a long-time resident of York Drive in Hudson, MA.

Tinka was employed by Raytheon as an executive assistant prior to her marriage with Jack, and after her children were grown, she retired in 1995. During that time, she was also a bookkeeper for Gould’s Men’s Shop in Hudson, MA.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, visits to Disney World, and visits to her family’s summer home in Sandwich, NH.

Tinka’s family would also like to extend their gratitude to her many caregivers who all contributed to her care throughout the last few months.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00pm-7:00pm on Friday June 23, 2023, at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday June 24, 2023, at St. Zepherin’s Catholic Church (Good Shepherd Parish), 99 Main Street, Wayland, MA; followed-by a procession to Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland, MA.
