Clara E. Munroe

Clara Eleanor “Ellie” Munroe, 62, of Worcester Mass, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

She was born August 3, 1961, in Marlborough, Mass. Daughter of the late Ira H. and Clara E. (Tervo) Munroe. She grew up in Berlin and Boylston, attended Boylston Elementary and Tahanto Regional High School and graduated with an associate degree from Quinsigamond Community College.

She traveled to Ireland and England with Tahanto’s Marching Band, lived in Fall River, and loved going to the beach by Old Iron Sides with her son. BUT the place she loved the most was being on Martha’s Vineyard with family. She enjoyed swimming, singing, reading, and studying Bible Scripture, journaling, scrapbooking, drawing, coloring, and playing cards with her sisters. She just really loved doing anything with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara Eleanor (Tervo) in 2014 and Ira Hudson Munroe Jr in 2012 and her brother, David Wiano Munroe in 1963.

She leaves her son, whom she loved dearly and was so very proud of, Jonathan, his wife, Sarah and two grandsons, Samuel, and Nathaniel Munroe. Her four sisters Karen Mancinone (Dan) of Beacon Falls, Conn; Katherine Schonberg of Grafton, Mass; Carleen Pierce of Clinton, Mass; Susan Cobane (George) of Sutton, Mass; and brother, Ira “Skip” Munroe, III (Brenda) of Marlborough, Mass; along with many nieces and nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. All of those, she loved and touched deeply.
