Dario Francis Morvillo 92 of Hudson, MA and Nokomis, FL passed away peacefully at home with family on Saturday, November 13, 2021.
Born in Waltham, MA on March 31, 1929, to the late Mattia & Alice (Yamartino) Morvillo, Dario was
predeceased by his parents, his wife Dorothy E. Morvillo who passed away suddenly on July 11, 2008,
and his two brothers, Claudio and Edward Morvillo.
Dario was educated at Waltham High School and attended the Waltham School of Watchmaking prior to
serving in the United States Coast Guard from December 29, 1950 to December 28, 1953 aboard the

many years.
Dario was known for his strong work ethic, sense of humor, spunk and sassiness. Family was important
and he cherished the long-held traditions of family get-togethers. Dario loved the beach (particularly
Humarock) and the Nokomis Jetty watching sunsets. He was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling in his
younger years, square dancing with his wife, making puzzles, woodworking, and playing card games. He
loved life, treasured his long-lasting friendships and was known for his positive attitude and joking
personality. You never knew whether he was serious or not until you looked at him long enough and he
would finally break out laughing. Dario lived an independent and fulfilling life until six weeks prior to his
death.
Dario is survived by so many that loved and admired him: his three daughters Darilyn (Morvillo) Tervo
and her husband David of Bolton, MA; Cheryl (Morvillo) Monaghan of Reisterstown, MD and Janice
