David M. Auger

July 9, 1967 — January 9, 2026

Hudson, MA

David Mark Auger, 58, of Hudson, MA, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2026. Born on July 9, 1967, David was a one-of-a-kind son, brother, father, uncle, and friend whose presence filled rooms—with laughter, sarcasm, and occasionally stubborn debate.

David was known for putting others ahead of himself without hesitation. Whether fixing something that needed mending, towing someone out of a jam, or checking in on family, he lived his life as a quiet helper—steady, loyal, and always ready to roll up his sleeves. For over 30 years, he took pride in caring for his mother, Ellen, and the family home. There wasn’t much he couldn’t build, repair, or “figure out eventually,” and he did it with a grin.

He had a lifelong love for the Boston Bruins, the New England Patriots, old cars, and motorcycles. He enjoyed chocolate milk and Coca Cola with the dedication of a true connoisseur. But everyone knew his favorite place wasn’t a stadium or a beach—it was the garage attached to the house, where tools, projects, and good company were always welcome.

David currently worked for Land’s Towing, a job that suited his strong work ethic and big heart. If someone was stuck, he was the type of person who showed up—no questions asked.

David is survived by his mother, Ellen Auger of Hudson; his sister Sheryl Rodenhiser of Hudson; his son Nicholas Auger and Nick’s mother, Elizabeth Dealmeida of Hudson; and his nieces Nicole Curtis (and husband Ryan Curtis) of Westminster and Abigail Auger of Rockland, ME. He was predeceased by his father David Auger, his brother John Auger, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He will be remembered for being handy (even if it took extra tools), hardworking (even when stubborn about it), and endlessly devoted to the people he loved. His absence leaves a space that can’t be filled, but his humor, loyalty, and heart will be carried forward by those fortunate enough to have known him.

Family and friends may gather at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA to Celebrate David's Life on Monday, January 19, 2026 with visiting from 4:00 to 6:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 PM. Burial services will be private.
