Florida G. (Poirier) Tucker July 17, 1924 - October 31, 2025 Florida G. (Poirier) Tucker passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Leominster, MA in the early morning hours of October 31, 2025. Flo was the daughter of Jean and Delina (Fontaine) Poirier, one of seven children, born in a small village in Quebec Canada, Conte Magantic. Flo was very fond and proud of her Canadian heritage, speaking often of the love and tribulations of her early years. The Poirier family moved to Manchester NH in 1925 to find work in the mills. Not long after relocating her father became ill with asthma and had to stop working. Her mother went to work at the mills to support the family. After some tough years her father died when she was 9 years old and her mother died when she was 12. Left alone, she was raised by her four older siblings, ages 17-24. She was forever thankful to her loving and supportive family.

Flo married Alvin Tucker in 1948. They moved to Alvin’s hometown of Marlboro, MA and soon thereafter moved to their new home in Hudson, MA where they raised their six children. Flo loved her sewing machine and crafts, leaving behind clothes she made from patterns and some very crafty needle point. Flo got her drivers license in her fifties and in her seventies she dove into learning computer skills. She was always up for a challenge.

Flo is survived by her daughter Lorraine Fox and husband James of Roseburg OR, son Michael Tucker and wife Julie of Westminster MA, daughter Linda Ramelli and husband Anthony of Madison NH, and son Paul Tucker and wife Carol of Hudson MA. She also leaves 14 grandchildren , 20 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Flo is predeceased by Alvin, her husband of 67 years, sons Richard and George, her siblings, Bernice, Marie-Louise, Lucienne, Beatrice, Lucien and Germaine. The Tucker family would like to thank the Corcoran House Assisted Living in Clinton MA, Dr. Tanya Swiderski and Josephine Fitzgerald of Summit Health Care and Life Care Center of Leominster for several years of compassionate care.

All services are private, Florida will be laid to rest at a later date. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home is honored to be assisting Florida’s family with arrangements.
