Gail Louise Thompson

Gail Louise Thompson, born on August 9, 1947, in Marlborough, MA, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2025, after a long period of declining health. A devoted mother and grandmother, Gail will be fondly remembered for her warm spirit and vibrant personality that had the remarkable ability to brighten any room she entered.

Gail dedicated many years of her life to her career as a waitress at the Wayside Inn, where her outgoing nature brought joy to countless customers. Her jovial demeanor and genuine warmth made her a favorite among patrons, who appreciated not only her attentive service but also the light she brought with her every day.

Family was at the heart of Gail’s being. She was an exceptionally loving and devoted mother to her son Adam M. Thompson and his wife Marianne, residing in Hudson, MA. Throughout her life, Gail prioritized the needs of her family above her own, demonstrating unconditional love and support. The arrival of her grandsons, Samuel and Calvin Thompson, infused her life with immense joy. Gail cherished every moment spent with them, nurturing them with the same devotion and care she offered to her own family.

Gail also possessed a deep love for animals, caring for many pets throughout her life, which speaks to her compassionate nature. Beyond her family and work, she found great pleasure in hobbies such as shopping, whether it was for clothes or home décor, never missing a chance to indulge in her passion. Gardening was another beloved pastime for Gail, allowing her to connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors.

Gail's early life was enriched by her parents, the late Edwin A. Page and Clara (Jenkins) Page, who instilled in her values that she carried through her own parenting journey.

Throughout the years, Gail resided primarily in Hudson and Marlborough, with a period spent in Westborough during Adam's upbringing, a testament to her commitment to ensuring the best for her family.
