Gary C. Puim, a devoted family man and respected professional, passed away on May 17, 2026. Born on April 8, 1982, in Framingham, Massachusetts, Gary lived a life deeply rooted in the communities of Hudson and the surrounding areas. He was raised in Hudson, where he attended local schools and developed the warm personality and wit that would endear him to family, friends, and colleagues alike throughout his life.
Gary was best known for his dedicated career at CCS Concrete Company in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, where he served as Operations Manager for ten years. In this role, he exemplified strong leadership and a loyal work ethic that earned him the respect and admiration of all who worked alongside him. His close working relationship with the company’s owner, Michael Cabral, his cousin, was a testament to his commitment and professional excellence.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gary was a man who treasured his family above all else. His children were the center of his world, evident to all who knew him. Gary was a steadfast and loyal presence to family and friends, always ready to provide support whenever it was needed. Those who gathered with him found a unique mix of humor and thoughtful perspective, qualities that brought joy and comfort to many.
His interests and hobbies reflected a love of both skill and the outdoors. Gary was an avid soccer and ice hockey player, notably serving as a goalie in hockey. His competitive spirit was also clear in his talent for video games, where he was famously formidable against any challenger, often “kicking butt” as those who faced him would say. Alongside family and friends, he cherished regular trips to Old Orchard Beach in Maine, a place filled with fond memories. He was also passionate about freshwater fishing, spending many peaceful hours on his boat immersed in this favorite pastime.
Gary’s family who survive him include his former wife of 17 years and mother of his children, Guadalupe E. (Mendez) Puim of Hudson, Massachusetts; his loving children Arihanna Puim and Damien Puim, both residents of Hudson; his mother Valeriana (Cabral) Terra and her husband Manny of Hudson; his sister Monica Girard and her children Bella and Scarlett of North Carolina, his three step sisters, Stephanie Terra and her two children, Kayla Terra and her two children and Amy Terra all of Providence, RI; and close cousins Michael and Diana Cabral with their three children of Tewksbury, as well as Claudio and Sarah Viera with their children Katrina and Gary’s godson Jordan. Alongside these family members, he leaves behind his uncles, aunts, many cousins and friends who cherished his friendship and presence. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Eduardo Puim.
Gary’s warmth, generosity, and lively spirit created a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He enjoyed being surrounded by loved ones, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
