George William Falardeau, a devoted custodian for the Northborough Public School System for over four decades, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026. Born on October 2, 1948, in Marlborough, Massachusetts, George was a lifelong resident of Northborough, where his presence left a lasting impression on the community he served with quiet dedication.
George was raised in Northborough, attending local schools and proudly graduating from Algonquin Regional High School in 1967. His commitment to his work was evident throughout his career; he took great pride in his craft and approached his duties with conscientious care, ensuring that the learning environments for generations of students were clean and welcoming.
Known among those who loved him as a thoughtful and kind individual, George was a man of few words but significant strength—both physically and in character—a quality often remarked upon by his siblings and friends. His understated nature never overshadowed the profound impact he had on those around him.
Outside of his professional life, George was a member of the Northborough Minutemen, finding joy in community engagement and tradition. He also cherished spending time golfing with family and friends, pursuits that brought him happiness and allowed him to connect with loved ones in a relaxed and joyful setting.
George is survived by two brothers, Ralph J. Falardeau Jr. (his wife Dana), and Richard P. Falardeau (his wife Mary); and three sisters, Helen M. Hernandez, Susan M. White, and Dianne A. Sliney (her husband Robert); his long time close friend and co-worker Kevin Walsh; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will remember his gentle spirit and steady presence. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph J. Falardeau Sr., his mother, Corinne M. (Sawyer) Falardeau, and his sister Jeanne M. Gaudino.
George William Falardeau’s lifelong connection to Northborough, his steadfast dedication to the community school system, and his quiet kindness have left an enduring legacy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, yet fondly remembered for the strength, humility, and warmth he quietly embodied throughout his life.
