Herbert & Sandra Tufts

Herbert J. Tufts, 75, died on Sunday November 27, 2022 and his beloved wife of 53 years Sandra C. (Cleveland) Tufts, 74, died on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. They were longtime residents of Berlin, MA.

They are survived by two sons, Timothy Tufts and his wife Ainsley Ross of Arlington, MA, Matthew Tufts of Berlin, MA; his granddaughter Lillian Tufts, along with Herbert’s sister Cheryl Creber and Sandra’s brother David Cleveland and his wife BJ of New Hampshire.

Herbert was born in Natick, MA, son of the late Herbert T. and Helen (Kulak) Tufts. He was raised in Wayland, MA attending local schools and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He was employed for many years by Raytheon in Sudbury, MA and later Andover, MA as a Materials Engineer, testing different materials for production.

Sandra was born Newton, MA, daughter of the late Chester and Barbara (Coghlan) Cleveland. She was raised in Wayland attending local schools and was a graduate of Wayland High School. She worked as an Office Administrator for many years at several local doctor’s offices.

They both cherished their family who will always remember Herbert and Sandra in their hearts and minds. A Celebration of Herbert’s and Sandra’s life will be held at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 4:00 PM. Family and friends may attend a period of visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the service. Burial services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Herbert and Sandra.
