Marlborough

Jane Davidson, 91, passed away peacefully in Marlborough, Massachusetts, on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Jane led a varied and interesting life, marked by family and creativity. She began her career as a registered dietitian at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, where she worked alongside her sisters, Sandy, a nurse, and Gail, a student nurse. She later helped her husband, Stan, at his drugstore, Howard Pharmacy.

Jane and Stan spent 30 years as silversmiths, traveling to craft shows throughout the region and building a close-knit community of fellow craftspeople and friends. Jane opened her Cape Cod home to many of these friends throughout the summer show season. In later years, Jane and Stan turned their attention to a vintage postcard business.

She had a lifelong love of animals. The family had dogs and cats over the years, and even in her later years, she was delighted when service dogs or other small animals came to visit. She kept her sense of humor until the end.

Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley Davidson; her son, Stephen Davidson; her daughters-in-law, Graham Davidson and Lynne Foster-Davidson; and her niece, Jennifer Gouvea.

She is survived by her children, Howard Davidson and his wife, Ellen King, and Cindy (Davidson) Boland and her husband, Greg Boland; grandchildren Philip Davidson and his wife, Chelsea; Benjamin Davidson and his wife, Sara; Alicia (Boland) Chaves and her wife, Jade; and Brian Boland; and great-granddaughters Magnolia Davidson, Kira Davidson, and Sylvia Davidson.

Jane is also survived by her sisters, Sandra (Baker) Miller and Gail (Baker) Gouvea, and her niece, Jill (Robbins) Rose.

Jane’s family brought her much love and joy throughout her life, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, October 19, 2026 at Bennington Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington, Vermont, where Jane will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Stanley; her son, Stephen; and her daughters-in-law, Graham and Lynne.
