Jeanne Marie Stanechewski, a cherished member of the Hudson community, was born on April 1, 1935, in Hudson, MA. She peacefully passed away on August 18, 2025, at the Webster Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Webster, MA, leaving behind a legacy filled with warmth, passion, and devotion.
Jeanne dedicated her career to the fields where she thrived, working for many years as a keyboard operator for Honeywell Corporation and later the Sweetlife Company until her well-deserved retirement. Her professional life was marked by dedication, which mirrored her approach to all aspects of her life.
Educationally, Jeanne was a proud graduate of the former Saint Michael Academy in Hudson, MA. This foundation set the stage for the resilient and nurturing spirit she embodied throughout her journey. She was known for her calming demeanor and friendly personality, which endeared her to those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A beloved animal enthusiast, Jeanne shared her life with numerous Shetland Sheepdogs, affectionately known as "Sheltie's." She nurtured and raised many dogs throughout her lifetime, training each one individually and preparing them for shows. Her passion for these animals reflected her caring nature and commitment to nurturing the things she loved.
Jeanne's personality shone through in her appreciation for the finer details in life. She had a unique ability to ensure that everything was to her liking, never settling for substitutes for any of her favorite things. This trait, while endearing, also showcased her strong-willed character and love for authenticity.
Jeanne is survived by her sister, Dolores Houchin of Grass Valley, CA, along with her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is predeceased by her loving parents, Stanley Stanechewski and Jenny (Karvoski) Stanechewski, and her siblings, Stanley Paul Stanechewski and Barbara Rieth.
Her life will be commemorated in a Mass on August 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Saint Michael Church, located at 23 Manning Street, Hudson, MA. Following the Mass, she will be laid to rest at Saint Michael Cemetery on Cox Street in Hudson at 11:15 AM. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA is honored to be assisting Jeanne's family with arrangements.
Jeanne Marie Stanechewski's presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit and the cherished memories of her life will continue to resonate with those who knew and loved her.
