Jeanne R. Bensette, born on October 9, 1942, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, departed this life peacefully on August 1, 2025, at Saint Patrick's Manor in Framingham, Massachusetts, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family and friends. Her journey began in Canada, where she embarked on a distinguished career as a Medical Technologist. Jeanne dedicated herself to the medical field, commencing her professional path before immigrating to the United States in her late twenties. After settling in Detroit, Michigan, she became a valued member of the team at Harper Hospital. In the late 1960s, she moved to Lexington, Massachusetts, and continued to excel in her career at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Jeanne concluded her long and fulfilling career at MetroWest Framingham Union Hospital, retiring with a legacy of excellent service.
Residing in Hudson, Massachusetts, since 2005, Jeanne most recently found joy in the welcoming environment of the Artisan of Hudson senior community. There, she forged numerous friendships and enjoyed the companionship of her peers. Jeanne was celebrated for her unique glowing personality, which made her a beloved friend to many. She was known for her loyalty and kindness, sharing memorable times and events with all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her passion for gardening, and her culinary skills brought joy to gatherings, where she delighted in cooking for friends and loved ones. Furthermore, Jeanne possessed a talent for socializing and event planning, making every occasion feel special.
Jeanne leaves behind her brothers Richard Bensette and his wife Debbie, Bernard Bensette and his wife Anne, and Dale Bensette and his wife Paulette, all of Canada. She is also survived by her sister Dolly Comartin and her husband Clarence, long-time close friends Barbara Langley, Joyce and Jeannette Blank, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will cherish her memory.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Bensette and Lorraine "St. Antoine" Bensette, who instilled in her the values of love and dedication that she carried throughout her life.
A visitation will be held on August 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, located at 50 Central St., Hudson, MA 01749. Jeanne R. Bensette will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her warmth and grace.
