John "Jack" B. Jarvis

October 19, 1953 — August 22, 2020

Leominster, MA

John "Jack" Bradford Jarvis, born October 19, 1953, passed away suddenly at home in Leominster, MA on Saturday, August 22, 2020. Jack grew up in Sudbury, MA. He met Dottie, the love of his life and wife of 44 years at a concert in 1973. They shared many adventures, including over 10 years living in California, before moving back to Massachusetts to raise their children. Jack discovered a meaningful career as a carpenter, and after managing his own company for 30 years, found his niche with Original Contracting in Westborough, MA.

Jack was a loving husband to Dottie, an adoring father to his daughters, Aundie and Laura, and a boisterous Papa to his “lil bumpkin” Lily and “lil man” Jack, who were the light of his life.  Jack’s sense of humor and love of life made people love being around him to hear his stories and share in his infectious laugh.  His many adventures and his love of mischief provided many special moments throughout the life that he shared with all.  He spent many weekends camping in Maine with his family and taught his girls everything he knew with unending patience and a keen ability to fix anything.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; daughter Aundrea O'Brien and her husband John of Reading, MA, daughter Laura Jarvis and her fiancé Jake Seibert of Weymouth, MA; his two grandbabies Lily and Jack O’Brien;  his brother David Jarvis of Calabash, SC and his sister Cheryl (Jarvis) Dulac and her husband Marc of Calabash, SC; numerous in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces and dear friends.  He was predeceased by loving parents John and Claire (Sansouci) Jarvis of Sudbury and brother Stephen Jarvis.

All are invited to attend a visitation from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.  Dottie has requested family and friends please wear casual attire in keeping with Jack’s preferred way of life: "no ties, please."
