Jose L. Da Silva

Jose L. Da Silva, 77 years old of Hudson, MA passed away on August 18th, 2026 at Boston Medical Center Brighton after a lengthy battle with gastric cancer. 

Jose was born on September 15th, 1948 on the Island of Santa Maria, Azores in Portugal. He was the youngest child born to his Mother Lina Da Silva and his Father Luis Da Silva. 

At the age of 19, Jose immigrated to Hudson, MA in 1967. He worked as a machinist at Middlesex Research in Hudson, MA for many years. 

Jose married Maria F. Liborio who is also from Portugal. They had four children, Norman Silva, Elizabeth Silva Danforth, Joe Silva and Max Silva. Jose also has many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Jose is predeceased by his other siblings, Maximiliano Da Silva, Senifredo Da Silva, Joao Da Silva, Jose Da Silva, Maria Pacheco, Vasco Da Silva, Luis Silva and Aclino Antunes. 

Jose is survived by his brother Aguar Da Silva. 

Jose loved watching Turner Classic Movies and cheering for his favorite soccer team Benfica. He will be deeply missed and his memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. 

Funeral services will be held privately.
