Born on June 26, 1954, in Hudson, Massachusetts, Joseph was a lifelong resident who held a deep appreciation for the town and all it offered throughout his life.

A graduate of Keefe Technical High School in Framingham, MA, Joseph took pride in his education and embarked on a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. He devoted many years to the maintenance department at the Stop & Shop Distribution Center in Marlborough, MA, where his steady presence was valued and respected by colleagues and friends alike.

Joseph’s passions extended beyond his professional life. He was an avid exerciser who looked forward daily to his walks, a simple joy that brought him peace and contentment. He was also a devoted fan of Boston’s professional sports teams, finding great pleasure in watching their games on television. Perhaps most notably, Joseph was proud to be a member of the Deck Hockey Team in the Special Olympics, an accomplishment that highlighted his determination and spirit.

In his personal life, Joseph maintained a small but close-knit circle of family and friends with whom he treasured every moment. His quiet strength and caring disposition left a lasting impression on those around him.

Joseph is survived by his sisters, Mary Ann Leoleis of Hudson, MA, and Joan Johnson of Florida; his brother Michael A. Kochanski and wife Cathy of Leominster, MA; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will remember him fondly for his gentle spirit and steadfast loyalty.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter V. Kochanski Sr. and Gemina "Gemma" (Vanzini) Kochanski, and by his brother, Walter V. Kochanski Jr.

Joseph P. Kochanski’s life was one marked by quiet dedication, enduring kindness, and a deep love for his family and community. He will be remembered with respect and affection by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held in Saint Michael Cemetery, Hudson. Date and time will be announced here when finalized.
