Joyce M. (Manning) Derosier

Joyce M. (Manning) Derosier, 77 of Hudson, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 8, 2018, after a period of declining health.

Joyce, the oldest of four children of the late James Joseph and Lilian M. (Davison) Manning, was born on August 10, 1941, in Newport, R.I. Joyce was raised in Newport and following high school spent much of her early adulthood living the nomadic life across the country and abroad as a military wife, raising her son along the way. She later moved to the Northborough and Berlin area, where she lived until eventually settling in Hudson 19 years ago. She had a long and successful career, later retiring as a senior electronic technician at EMC Corporation.

Joyce was a very active and upbeat person who loved spending time outdoors. She enjoyed horseback riding, playing tennis, skiing, hiking and going on walks. She was also a member of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson and enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family.

Joyce is survived by her beloved companion of over twenty years, Robert E. Duarte of Hudson; her son Philip J. Derosier and his wife Susan L. of Thompson, CT; 3 siblings, David Manning, Tim Manning and his wife Judy and Colleen Manning; 3 grandchildren, Brandy Murphy, Bridgette Derosier and Maxwell Derosier; 4 great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Blake, Rhylee and Makenna and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours from 10 am until 12 pm, immediately followed by a celebration of her life at 12 pm., on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. Burial will be held at a later time.
