Karen T. Young

Karen T. Young, a beloved member of the Marlborough community, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, in her hometown of Marlborough, MA. Born on September 3, 1951, Karen dedicated over 30 years of her life to caring for others as a nursing aide at Marlborough Hills Healthcare, where she showcased her compassion and commitment until her retirement in 2013.

Karen will be remembered not only for her professional dedication but also for her love of family and the joyous moments she cherished. She took immense pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that her family will always hold dear. She also enjoyed solving puzzles and crossword puzzles, which reflected her bright intellect and her unwavering spirit.

Her adventurous soul led her to travel, including a memorable trip to Hawaii with her fellow employees, and vacations to Cape Cod with her sister, Patricia. These experiences were enriched by her close relationships with family, including her husband of 35 years, Jack Young Jr., and their three children: Stephen Young, Jonathan Young, and Tracy Young Skorker. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Townsend, and brothers Michael McGuire, Thomas McGuire, Shawn McGuire and the cherished memories of her late father, William McGuire, mother, Marion "Toupin" McGuire, and brothers Kevin, Dennis, and Stephen McGuire.

Her legacy will continue through her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who filled her life with joy and love. Alongside her immediate family, Karen leaves behind nieces, nephews, and many friends who will remember her warmth, kindness, and devotion.

Visitation will be held at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home in Hudson, MA, on June 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location, starting at 7:00 PM. Her family invites all who knew her to join in honoring her remarkable life and the impact she made on those around her.

Karen T. Young will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her generous spirit, unwavering love, and the indelible mark she left on the lives of her family and friends.
