Louise M. Clemens

November 5, 1933 — January 1, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louise Madeline Clemens, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Louise departed this world on January 1st, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 5th, 1933, in Patchogue, NY, Louise was one half of a remarkable pair, entering the world alongside her twin sister, Edith, who predeceased her in death. She was the cherished daughter of Erna (Neumeister) and John Renner, who had immigrated from Germany.

In 1967, Louise married Robert "Bob" Clemens. A devout mother, Louise dedicated herself to raising her three children in Brookhaven, NY. Her commitment to her family was unwavering, and she found joy in every moment spent with her loved ones. In 1986, Louise and Bob embraced a new chapter, relocating to Moultonborough, NH, and later settling in Inverness, FL, in 1994. In 2016, they returned to New England to be closer to their children. Louise's faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a devoted Christian. Her commitment extended to volunteering with the church, where her warmth and generosity touched the lives of many. She exemplified compassion, kindness, and a selfless spirit in all that she did.

In addition to Louise's enduring love for her children, Kathleen Andrews and her husband Stephen Taylor of Bolton, MA; Robert Clemens and his partner Kim Clark of Jaffrey, NH; and Patrick Clemens and his wife Erin of Rutherford, NJ; she leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren, Megan Wisniewski (Ben), Sara Shewokis (Taylor), Liam & Owen Andrews and Tanner Clemens, as well as, her great-grandchildren Patricia Clemens, Leia Wisniewski, and Sadie Mae Shewokis. Her love will continue to resonate through the generations she touched.

The family wishes to thank the caring and compassionate team at River Terrace Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Lancaster, MA where Louise resided in her final months.

Family and friends will honor and remember Louise's life by gathering for calling hours on Friday, January 5th from 4-7pm at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA.  Burial services will be held privately at Bourne National Cemetery where Louise will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Robert, who predeceased her in death in 2019.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in memory of Louise to the Dementia Society of America. Donations can be sent by mail to PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901, or online at www.DementiaSociety.org/donate.
