With heavy hearts, we share that Maria Rosa Collins, a beloved mother and wife of the Hudson community, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at UMass Memorial Center at the age of 76.
Born on April 11, 1949, in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Moura) Costa.
Maria dedicated many years of her career to A.C.T., where she worked in Quality Control. Yet her greatest pride and joy were always her family. A devoted wife to her husband of 40 years, Warren, Maria flourished in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Maria is survived by her loving husband, Warren S. Collin; her sons, Stephen Braga and Michael Braga; her daughters, Rosa Doyle, Maggie Braga, and Deborah Braga; eight grandchildren, Sheena, Rochelle, Tyler, Zachary, Tevin, J.R., Dakota, and Mia; and ten great-grandchildren, Tej, Siya, Noah, Jaylen, Eli, Kyree, Elijah, Addriana, Joseph, and Amara, all of whom brought her endless pride and joy. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Joe Braga, whom she carried in her heart always.
Maria had a special gift in the kitchen, where her love was most often expressed. Her meals were more than food — they were memories, traditions, and acts of care that brought family together time and time again. Maria was also a huge fan of the New England Patriots, often cheering them on with an enthusiasm unique to her spirited personality.
Throughout her life, Maria remained steadfast in her faith and was a cherished member of St. Michael Church. Her dedication to her community and her unwavering love for her family and friends left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the faith she shared, and the countless lives she touched with her generosity and compassion. Her love and devotion will continue to shine through those she leaves behind.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
