Mary Ann (Crossman) Denine, 87, passed peacefully on October 13, 2025 with family at her side, in Atlanta, Georgia. Born on July 5, 1938, in Clinton, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late John W. and Isabella A. (Vautrey) Crossman. Raised in Hudson, Mary’s Roman Catholic faith shaped her life and guided her every step.
Mary attended St. Michael’s School and graduated from St. Michaels’ Academy in Hudson, MA. After earning her nursing degree from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in Worcester, she devoted her career to caring for others, working in surgical, pediatric, and hospice nursing. She met the love of her life, E. Paul Denine, in 1963, and they married the following year, sharing 42 years together until his passing in 2006.
Mary’s life took her across the country—living in Massachusetts, California, New Jersey, New York, Alabama, Ohio, and Georgia—but her dedication to family, faith, and service was constant. She served as a Den Leader for the Boy Scouts, taught CCD classes, and participated actively in health, fitness, and spiritual committees within her community in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
She is lovingly survived by her children John Denine, Lan Ta Denine, Laura (Denine) Dixon, Sean Dixon, and Matthew Denine; grandchildren Mary (Dixon) McInerney and Noel P. Dixon; great-grandchildren Oisín McInerney and Allyson Dixon; sister Sally (Crossman) Guidotti; and brother John Crossman.
