Michael A. Downey

Michael A. Downey, 80, a lifelong Hudson resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Framingham Union Hospital.

Michael was born in Hudson, MA on January 31, 1941, a son of the late Frank E. and Edith (Manning) Downey. He graduated high school in Hudson and after earning his bachelor’s degree returned to Hudson High as the Physical Education Teacher and Coach. He was a well known figure in town and he was usually escorted by his two beloved dogs “Cam” and “Rip”.

Michael is survived by several cousins and many lifelong close friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA  followed by a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery in Hudson for Committal Services.
