Hudson

Michael P. Saliga, of Hudson, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully in his sleep just days after celebrating his 69th birthday. He lived a life defined by hard work, leadership, devotion to family, and commitment to his community.

Michael was a longtime co-owner and president of Saliga Machine, a business to which he devoted much of his life before his recent retirement. Through decades of dedication, vision, and perseverance, he helped significantly expand the company and build a respected business within the Hudson community. His commitment to the community extended beyond his business, including many years of service as a corporator at Avidia Bank. He valued hard work, accountability, and loyalty, and was deeply generous to those he cared about.

Beyond work, Michael enjoyed the outdoors, especially spending time by the lake. He was an avid reader with a thoughtful and inquisitive mind and was passionate about politics and the hope of building a better world for future generations. Those who knew him appreciated his strong convictions, sharp mind, and unwavering willingness to stand up for what he believed in.

Above all else, Michael was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his four children: Lauren Brown and her husband Richie Brown, together with their daughters Elyse and August; Kristen Keeley and her husband Tyler Keeley, together with their daughter Emilia and son Leandro; Ryan Saliga and his wife Emily Saliga, together with their daughter Eleanor; and Cathryn McCarthy and her husband Brendan McCarthy, together with their daughter Colette.

Michael was reunited in death with his parents Donald and Priscilla (Pat) Saliga. He is survived by his seven siblings, Mark Saliga, Mary-Ellen Sherman, Brian Saliga, Patrick Saliga, Glenn Saliga, John Saliga, and Paul Saliga.

Through the business he helped build, the family he cherished, and the values he instilled in others, Michael leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and unwavering commitment. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
