Paul R. Canty, Jr., 74 of Marlborough, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2021, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. He leaves his beloved wife, Debra A. (Grenon) Canty.
Paul was born in Medford, MA, on October 28, 1946, the oldest of six children of the late Paul R. and Helen J. (Robblee) Canty. Paul was raised in Stow and was a graduate of Nashoba Valley Regional High School. Following graduation he bravely served his Nation in the United States Navy. Paul worked for many years as a public school bus driver for several towns including Lincoln Sudbury High School, Marlborough. Paul especially enjoyed driving the athletic teams for Lincoln-Sudbury High School to their many games and meets.
Paul was a loyal and lifelong New England sports fan. He was also an avid bingo and poker player. Paul was a passionate motorcycle enthusiast and loved to cruise on his Harley Davidson. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will remember him for his great stories and his ability to keep a conversation going for hours.
In addition to his beloved wife Debra A. (Grenon) Canty, he is also survived by his son, Christopher P. Canty and his beloved companion Jennifer Holman; a stepson, Jeremey E. Zipp and his wife Faith ; 5 siblings, Jean Grenier, Linda Sluyski and her husband Bob, John Canty and his wife Janet, David Canty and his wife Maria and Charles Canty and his wife Jennifer; 2 grandchildren, Kaidence E. Canty and Owen B. Canty and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother-in-law, Bob Grenier.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 5pm until 8pm on Friday, January 22, 2021 at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Brookside Cemetery, 36 Gleasondale Rd, Stow, MA.

All Massachusetts Covid 19 Social Distancing Restrictions will be followed during the visitation and graveside service.
