Paul G. Lorrain

Paul G. Lorrain, 88, of Hudson, MA, passed away in his home on Thursday, June 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Grace (Consolo) Lorrain. 

Paul was born on August 10, 1935, to the late Hector C. Lorrain and Lena Mae (Whitman), in Portland, Maine, where he was raised and attended school until enlisting in the armed forces. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. 

During his military years he was introduced to his friend’s cousin, Grace who would later become his wife. Paul and Grace were married on June 8, 1958 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Newton, MA. They lived in Newton where they started their family. There, Paul was a member of the Newton Auxiliary Police and was employed at Polaroid Corporation, where he worked for 25 years. The couple moved to Hudson Ma in 1965 where they continued their growing family. Paul also worked at GenRad, Hudson Lock Inc, and many years at Lund Corp until his retirement. 

Paul is survived by his sons Paul J. Lorrain and his wife Yvette of Casselberry FL; Philip Lorrain and his wife Shelley of Worcester, MA; Richard Lorrain and his wife Susan of Mesa, AZ; his daughters Doreen Lonergan and her husband Edward of Foxboro, MA; Tracy Hein of Hudson, MA; and Marie Flood and her husband Sean of Hudson, MA; his 16 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Paul is predeceased by his beloved wife Grace, his parents Hector and Lena; his brothers Robert, Edward, and James, and his sisters Shirley, Louise, and Nancy. Also his mother and father in law, Philip and Phyllis Consolo. 

Paul enjoyed outdoor activities in his younger years– fishing and camping were two of his favorites. He loved family vacations and road trips, attending his kids’ sporting events, and always enjoyed hosting crowds for Sunday dinners, family reunions and pool parties. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved to make people laugh. Later in life Paul took on with loving pride, the role of primary caretaker for his wife, Grace, until her passing. 

Calling Hours for Paul will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 10am-12pm, at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA. A Funeral Service will take place following Calling Hours on Monday, June 24, 2024, beginning at 12pm, at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home; followed by a procession to Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson, MA, for committal services.
