A Life of Love, Laughter, Family, and Service

Paul Sadowski, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and cherished friend to many, passed away on October 31, 2026 following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Throughout his many years of challenges, Paul demonstrated the same strength, determination, and spirit that defined his life.

Born and raised in Clinton, Massachusetts, Paul was the son of Helen and Stanley Sadowski. From an early age, Paul had a larger-than-life personality and a natural ability to bring people together. Always the life of the party, he had a wonderful sense of humor, a love of laughter, and a way of making everyone around him feel welcome. Whether sharing a story, telling a joke, or simply enjoying the company of others, Paul knew how to make ordinary moments memorable.

Paul was an exceptionally proud United States Army veteran, having served his country during the Vietnam War era. His military service was a source of great pride throughout his life, and his love for his country and respect for his fellow veterans never wavered.

After returning home from the Army, Paul met and fell in love with Frances, affectionately known as Fran. They married in 1967, beginning a beautiful partnership that would span 59 years. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, friendship, and community. They settled in Hudson, Massachusetts, where they raised their four children and proudly called home for more than 50 years.

Professionally, Paul enjoyed a successful career as a purchasing manager, working for both small and large companies. Most notably, he spent many years at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he brought his strong work ethic, dedication, and outgoing personality to his career.

Paul believed deeply in giving back to the community he loved. A dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer, he generously gave his time to the Boy Scouts, church programs, youth sports, and countless community activities. Many will fondly remember him calling bingo at Hudson Catholic, where his personality and humor made even an ordinary evening entertaining. Paul was always willing to lend a hand, offer his time, or step up whenever someone needed help. For him, being involved wasn’t simply about volunteering; it was about connecting with people and making a difference.

Of all the things Paul enjoyed, fishing held a special place in his heart. He could often be found asking someone to take him fishing, and even if they had no interest in casting a line, he was perfectly happy just to have their company while he fished. For Paul, fishing was never only about catching fish. It was about the peaceful moments, the conversations, the companionship, and the memories made along the way. Those quiet hours spent beside the water will remain among the most treasured memories of those who loved him.

Above all else, Paul’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a grandfather who wore the title of “Papa” with immense pride. Nothing meant more to him than being surrounded by the people he loved. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness, and he cherished every opportunity to share in their lives. Whether gathered for a family celebration, sharing a laugh, or simply spending time together, Paul was happiest when his family was close.

Paul leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Frances “Fran” Sadowski; his daughter, Brenda Geary and her husband, Earl, of Marlborough; and his sons, Brian Sadowski and his wife, Tyrene Loya, of Orlando, Florida; Eric Sadowski and his wife, Rebecca, of Fitchburg; and Shawn Sadowski and his significant other, Simone, of Hudson.

He also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna, Krystal, Taylor, Spencer, Michael, Matthew, Caitlyn, and Kayla; and four adored great-grandchildren, Anabella, Cameron, Dylan, and Matilda, each of whom held a special place in Papa’s heart. Even as Parkinson’s disease presented increasing challenges, it could never diminish the love he had for his family or the lasting impact he made on those around him.

His legacy lives on in the family he built, the friendships he treasured, the community he served, and the countless memories he leaves behind. And perhaps the next time his family or friends finds themselves beside a quiet lake, watching the water and enjoying each other’s company, they will smile and remember that, to Paul, the best part of fishing was never the fish. It was having someone he loved by his side.
