Robert (Bob) Russell, a cherished member of the community and a dedicated plumber, passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on December 21, 1960, in Boston, MA, Bob was raised in Marlborough, MA, before spending many years in Hudson, MA, where he became well-known for his work.
Bob graduated from Saint John's High School in Shrewsbury, MA, and built a career as a self-employed plumber at Bob Russell Plumbing, gaining the respect and admiration of those he served in the area over the years. His social nature endeared him to many, with a reputation that indicated he knew almost everyone. Bob possessed a unique sense of humor and, despite a tough exterior, he was known to be a caring and compassionate person.
An enthusiast of Harley Davidson motorcycles, Bob took great pleasure in collecting various Harley merchandise and enjoyed riding whenever he could. These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to create lasting memories with friends and fellow Harley riders.
Bob is survived by his mother, Barbara A. (Mullahy) Russell of Watertown, MA; his son, Robert D. Russell of Auburn, MA; his daughter, Alyssa Russell of Somerville, MA; his sister, Mary Teixeira and her husband George of Hudson, MA; and his former wife, Kimberly A. (Washburn) Russell, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Bob was predeceased by his father, George D. Russell, and his brother, Brian Russell.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, located at 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A funeral service will follow at the same location, starting at 12:00 PM, with burial taking place at Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson, MA, at 12:30 PM.
His legacy of kindness, humor, and dedication to his craft will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
