Robert C. Shusta

Robert C. Shusta, 86, of Marlborough (formerly of Hudson), passed away on September 12, 2025, at Marlborough Hospital. He was a cherished member of his community and a beloved figure to many who knew him. Robert's journey through life reflected a quiet and low-key personality, one that greatly appreciated the simple pleasures found in the company of family and friends.

As a dedicated pharmacist, Robert built a commendable career working with several pharmacies throughout his life, providing compassionate care and unwavering commitment to the well-being of others. He graduated from Saint Mary's High School in Waltham (1956), and MA College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (1960), accomplishments that laid the groundwork for a life devoted to service and community engagement.

Robert had a deep love for traveling the world, which filled his leisure time with joy and activity. His passions extended to gardening, where he cultivated vibrant gardens at his home in Marlborough MA, as well as in Florida, enjoying the peace and beauty that nature provided.

He leaves behind many cousins, other relatives, and friends who will remember him for his gentle spirit and kindness. Robert's family also included several departed loved ones who significantly shaped his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva B. (Shusta) Heath, and long-time friend Richard Chicoine, as well as beloved aunts Sophie Feccia, Mary DiMiria, Sr. Mary Charlotte Shusta SND, and Julia Shumski.

Friends and family are invited to honor Robert's life during a graveside service that will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Saint Michael Cemetery located at 278 Cox Street, Hudson, MA 01749, where he will be laid to rest. Robert's legacy will endure in the hearts of those he touched, reminding all of us of the beauty in simplicity, connection, and quiet affection.
