Ronald J. Erickson, of Marlborough, MA, formerly of Hudson, MA, born on August 18, 1967 in Patchogue, Long Island, New York, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Ronald’s life was marked by steadfast dedication to his loved ones, a profound work ethic, and unwavering loyalty to those whose paths crossed his own.
From his earliest days, Ronald’s keen intellect and natural curiosity led him toward a successful and rewarding career in the computer industry. At just eighteen, immediately following high school, Ronald embarked on his professional journey with the Digital Equipment Corporation in Hudson, Massachusetts. He distinguished himself as a talented technician, a role he would carry forward with pride at both Digital and later the Intel Corporation, following it's acquisition of Digital. His commitment and expertise made him a valued member of every team he worked with. After relocating to Arizona in 2015, Ronald continued to share his technical skills and industry insight as a technician with Northrop Grumman, demonstrating adaptability and dependability throughout his long tenure in the field.
Family was the cornerstone of Ronald’s life. He was cherished by his mother, Catherine "Cathy" Kenny, who survives him. He also leaves his wife, Nicole (Morin) Erickson; his son, Andrew Erickson, and his daughter, Payton Erickson. Ronald’s steady, caring presence also graced the lives of his step-daughters, Madison Bowen and Taylor Bowen. His warmth extended to his sister, Lori Schofield, and her partner Matt Porter, as well as his nieces, Ashley Anderson and her husband Michael, and nephews, Christopher Schofield and Dakota Schofield. Ronald’s memory will also be cherished by his grandson, Landon Willis, along with other relatives and friends He was predeceased by his father Alan E. Erickson Sr., his brother Alan E, Erickson Jr., and brother-in-law, Lori's late husband Wayne Schofield.
At a young age Ronald relocated with his family to Hudson, MA where he grew up on Fort Meadow Reservoir in Hudson. He attended local schools in Hudson and was a 1986 graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School. He enjoyed the many activities on the lake which included swimming, water skiing, fishing and the many gatherings with family and friends. He also enjoyed golfing with friends at local golf courses with Juniper Golf Course being his favorite destination. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and cherished all the barbeques and events they shared. A warm and caring individual, Ronald will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and loving spirit he instilled in all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA 01749. A funeral service and celebration of Ronald's life will be held at the same location on Saturday, July 25, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Following the service, burial will take place at Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson, MA.
Ronald J. Erickson’s legacy endures through the lives he loved, the family he raised, and the dedication he brought to his work. He will be remembered with deep respect and affection by all who knew him.
