Sally A. Priest, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at her residence. Born on January 1, 1964, in Concord, MA, she spent her formative years in Vermont before moving to Hudson in 1980, where she would become a cherished presence in the lives of many.
Sally was a dedicated employee of the Hannaford Supermarket Chain, where she worked in the Deli Department. Most recently, she served at the Clinton, MA, location. Her outgoing personality and eagerness to engage with customers made her a familiar and beloved face within the store. She had a knack for striking up conversations that brought warmth and comfort to those she served.
A 1982 graduate of Hudson Catholic High School, Sally embraced life with enthusiasm. Her passion for animals was notable; she devoted much of her time to caring for several horses and German Shepherds, whom she raised and cherished. Furthermore, she enjoyed an active lifestyle that included playing pickleball and was a former member of the Wayside Athletic (Racquet) Club in Marlborough, MA. Winters found her skiing at Mt. Wachusett, where she also contributed her skills as a member of the Ski Patrol.
Sally was a kind-hearted individual who was deeply loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis M. (Durand) Priest of Hudson, MA, her brother David Priest and his wife Susan of Rutland, MA, her niece Hannah Priest of Rutland, MA, her nephew Connor Priest of Rutland, MA, as well as her many cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Priest.
For those wishing to pay their respects, visitation will be held at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, located at 50 Central St., Hudson, MA, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at the same location, starting at 12:00 PM and concluding at 12:30 PM. Sally will then be laid to rest at Saint Michael Cemetery in Hudson, at 12:30 PM.
Sally A. Priest will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness and love will continue to resonate within the community she so passionately served.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Monks of New Skete where German Shepard dogs are raised and trained.
