Sharon Lynn (Miller) Berg, age 77, was called to her eternal home on July 25, 2023. Sharon was a devout woman who loved the Lord and passed peacefully at home with her loving husband of nearly 54 years at her side.
Sharon is survived by her husband Michael A. Berg; her children: Aaron Berg and Amy (Ubell) Berg of Littleton CO, Naomi (Berg) Gulliver and her husband Jonathan Gulliver of Lancaster MA, Andrew Berg and Sarah (Opar) Berg of Helena MT, Leah (Berg) Santos and her husband Steven Santos of Hudson MA and seven beloved grandchildren: Lily, Noah, Isaac, Sydney, Liam, Gabriella and Adriana. She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon G. Miller and Lauretta (Jankowsky) Miller and sister Sally L. (Miller) Peterson.
Sharon was born on October 3, 1945 in West Point NY and received Holy Baptism at home in Highland Falls NY on October 31, 1945. She graduated from Memorial High School, Eau Claire WI 1963.
After graduation Sharon went to work for the Shelgene Theatres in Eau Claire. On New Year’s Eve 1966, on a blind date, she met her future husband, Michael Berg, a student at Wisconsin State University-Stout. It was truly a match made in heaven. They were married on September 13, 1969 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, Eau Claire and moved to Marlborough Massachusetts. In 1974 the couple settled in a new home in Hudson where Sharon worked for several organizations as secretary and office manager until retiring in 2003 due to loss of vision. In spite of this loss, she remained cheerful and active for all her remaining years.
Sharon loved being with family and friends and co-hosted many large celebrations with them. A devout Christian, she was an active member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. She spent much time in devotion and prayer with friends and serving various organizations both locally and in the New England District.
Visiting hours are Tuesday August 1, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. A private graveside committal service will take place the following day.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 5 at 10:00 AM at Lutheran Church of the Savior, 426 Davis Road, Bedford, MA.
