Sharron L. DiMartino

Sharron L. (Koonz) DiMartino, 79, of Bolton, MA died Sunday, March 10, 2024, at UMASS Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester, MA after a brief illness.

Sharron is survived by her husband, of 62 years, Joseph M. DiMartino of Bolton, MA; her daughter, Ellen Peters and her husband James of Dublin, GA and her son, Daniel DiMartino and his wife Maria of Dudley, GA; and her 4 grandsons, Tanner Peters, Carter Peters, Carlos DiMartino and Thomas DiMartino. She also leaves her sister Sondra Thorn and her husband Frank of Newton, MA along with other relatives and close friends.

Sharron was born and raised in Troy, NY, daughter of the late Harold Koonz and the late Eleanor (Peters) Danaher. She attended local schools and was a 1962 graduate of Troy High School and married her high school sweetheart. She graduated from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing. Sharron’s first career was working as a Registered Nurse in the ICU before beginning her second career as an Assistant Vice President of Underwriting Disability Insurance with UNUM of Worcester, MA.

Sharron loved to travel, visiting many European destinations throughout her adult life. She always looked forward to a day of shopping, her favorite pastime. She cherished every opportunity to be with her family, especially with her grandsons. She will always be fondly remembered for her caring and giving nature and the energy she brought to whatever she was doing, she will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Sharron’s family will celebrate her life at a later date.
