Thomas S Pattison

Thomas Samuel Pattison, age 71 of Hudson, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday October 15, 2025.

Tom was born on March 21, 1954. He was one of six children of Buzz and Mary Pattison. Tom grew up in North St Paul Minnesota, at the time a relatively small town with a green field stretching behind the house, and woods across the street. It was an idyllic place, red-winged blackbirds and pheasants calling, and places to run and bike. He attended St Peter’s grade school, Hill High School, and then North Saint Paul High School. He loved cars, and spent weekends at Norm’s Filling Station working on cars, something that became a life-long joy. Ten years separated his older siblings, Mickey, Pat and Kit from his two brothers, Tim (older) and Michael (younger). They grew up a tight brotherly crew.

After relocating from Minnesota to Massachusetts, he met and married his loving wife, Mary. They were blessed by three children, Emily, Thomas and Christopher, the lights of their lives. A very proud papa, Tom never wasted an opportunity to tell anyone who would listen how wonderful his children were. His enthusiasm was real, and came from a deep and abiding love.

Tom served his community as a paramedic for more than 40 years — a role that was more than just a job, but a calling. He saved countless lives, delivered 23 babies, and offered comfort and strength to people on their hardest days. His courage, quick wit, and compassion touched every patient, partner, and family he encountered.

Outside of work, he enjoyed tinkering in the garage and spending time with his six grandchildren. He loved spending time at all of their sporting events, taking them for rides on his tractor and letting them “braid his beard.” He will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor and his passion in discovering new hobbies.

Tom is survived by his wife Mary Pattison, his daughter Emily and her husband Mike Tonucci of Burlington, CT, his son Tommy and his wife Maureen of Lunenburg, Massachusetts, and his son Chris and his wife Danielle of Hudson, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his six grandchildren Aubrey, Dakota, Taylor, Harper, Ella, and Phoenix. He also leaves behind his brothers Pat, Tim and Michael and his sisters Mickey and Kitty.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Harry Pattison, his father-in-law Bob Weithman, and his grandson Ezra Pattison.

A public memorial service will be held on November 1, 2025, from 11:00-3:00 at the Hudson Elks Club at 91 Park St in Hudson, MA.
