Veridiana B. Bezerra de Bulhões

Veridiana B. Bezerra de Bulhões, 53, passed away on October 3, 2025, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston with her family by her side.

Born on October 30, 1971, in Timbaúba, Brazil, to Maria Ivonete (Barbosa) Bezerra and the late Eraldo Ivo Bezerra, Veridiana's journey through life was marked by warmth, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.

Raised in the small town of Ferreiros, in the northeast of Brazil, Veridiana moved to the United States in 2001, establishing her home in Acton, MA, where she lived for many years before settling in Hudson, MA, for the past 15 years. Her career was dedicated to nurturing and caring for children as she owned and operated her own Family Day Care. Veridiana’s love for children was evident and her joyful spirit shined through in every moment spent with them.

Veridiana's personality radiated warmth and care. She was known for her cooking, making traditional Brazilian dishes during holidays and special occasions, and decorating everyone’s birthday with colorful Brazilian sweets. A lifelong dancer, she’d take every opportunity to samba, and loved going out with her husband, Jose, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime. Her beloved dog, Belchior, was also a treasured member of her family, accompanying her through both joyful and challenging times.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Jose N. de Bulhões Filho, and her loving children: daughter, Laysa, and son, Vinicius, and her grandchildren, Laura, Leah, and Luke, as well as her brothers, Eraldo Bezerra Filho, Milton Cesar Bezerra, and her sister, Gleicy Spinelli. Her presence enriched the lives of everyone around her, and she will be profoundly missed by family, friends, and the countless children she cared for over the years.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home in Hudson from 4 PM to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th, 2025 at 10 AM, at Saint Michael Church 23 Manning St. in Hudson, followed by interment at Locust Grove Cemetery in Merrimac.
