Vincent J. Kelley Jr., a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home on November 5, 2025. Born on January 19, 1942, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Vincent was a proud graduate of Rindge Technical High School, where he laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and dedication.
A respected member of the Boston Pipefitters Local 537 Union, Vincent spent many years as a skilled pipe fitter, contributing to significant projects including the construction of the iconic John Hancock Tower in Boston.
Vincent was known for his outgoing personality and humor. These endearing qualities were treasured by family and friends alike. His warm-hearted nature will be thought of fondly by all who remember him.
He was a proud member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks, where he enjoyed being a part of the Hudson community. Vincent’s interests also included swimming, tennis, golfing, and hosting summer barbecues by his pool, where family and friends often gathered. He particularly enjoyed entertaining his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making them laugh, and creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
Vincent's life was also marked by resilience and determination. Alongside his proud accomplishments in his career, he took great pride in his sobriety, celebrating 30 years as a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. This journey not only transformed his own life but also served as an inspiration to those around him. This path led him to a relationship with Jesus, and he enjoyed attending the Grace Church in Hudson where he learned from Pastor Marc and Pastor Don.
Vincent is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Anna M. (Burgess) Kelley; his son, Shaun Kelley and partner Ana Burke of Danvers, MA; his daughter, Stephanie Bialecki and her husband William of Ayer, MA; and his son, Jeff Kelley of Lunenburg, MA. Vincent is also remembered by his sister, Donna Canniff of Florida; his brother, John C. Kelley and his wife Rosemary of Northborough, MA; and his cherished grandchildren: William “Patrick” Bialecki, Mikaela Shortsleeve and her husband Chris, Meghan Kelley, Bridget Kelley and her wife Theresa Ross, Erin Kelley, Hannah Euler, Lexi Kelley, and Liam Kelley, along with his great-grandchildren, Braden, Wyatt, Jude, Zander, Tanner, Noah, Bennett, and Kolton. He is also remembered by his many nieces and nephews whom he adored.
Vincent was predeceased by his father, Vincent J. Kelley Sr.; his mother, Edith (Butcher) Kelley; and his sister, Irene Smolinski.
Visitation will be held at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, located at 50 Central St., Hudson, MA, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A service and celebration of Vincent's Life will immediately follow at 3:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial service will be private.
