Viola M. Bairos, a beloved figure whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at the age of 98 in Northborough, MA. Born on November 26, 1926, in Hudson, MA, Viola was a cherished member of her community and dedicated to her family throughout her life.
Viola attended local Hudson schools. Her personality was one of kindness and welcoming spirit. She had a nurturing nature, taking great pride in caring for her children and extended family, always extending her warmth to those around her.
A woman of varied interests, Viola found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life—she loved doing crosswords and jumble puzzles, and reading was an integral part of her daily routine. Additionally, her evenings often included watching Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, and she shared a profound love for cats.
Viola is survived by her son, Anthony J. Bairos, Jr. and his late wife Sharon of Bakersfield, CA; daughter Jean M. Claflin and her husband Raymond III of Leominster, MA; and son Steven M. Bairos of Hudson, MA. She leaves behind granddaughters Rachel Claflin of Leominster, MA, and Elizabeth Claflin and her husband Gabe Sanchez of New York. Viola was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, and relatives who will cherish her memory.
She has been reunited with her beloved husband, Anthony J. Bairos, as well as her dear siblings, including her brothers Dominic Ziane, Joseph Ziane; sisters Rachel Campos, Ann Trudeau, Mary O'Callaghan, Natalie Alexander, and Florence Simarano, all of whom she missed deeply.
A visitation to honor Viola's life will be held at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, located at 50 Central St., Hudson, MA, on October 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Vigil Prayer Service will be held from 5:00 pm to 5:15 pm. Her family invites all who knew her to come and celebrate her enduring spirit and the love she shared with others.
Burial Services will be private at the convivence of the family.
Viola M. Bairos will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love, dedication to family, and the countless joyful memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
