Warren Richard Brown

BERLIN- Warren “Bo” Richard Brown, 86, of Berlin, former longtime resident of Hudson, passed away on December 10, 2021 at UMass Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and beloved wife of 59 years, Diane Marie (Loureiro) Brown.

Warren was born in Marlboro, son of Albert E. Ryan and Theresa “Peggy” Edna Hatch. He was raised and educated in Hudson where he was adopted by the late Richard Alden Brown and his wife Theresa “Peggy”.

Warren was a 1955 graduate of Hudson High School. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed for four years in Homestead, Florida where he trained and handled a security forces German Shepherd dog named Flash. Upon his honorable discharge, with good conduct, Warren became a Securities Broker. He was a FINRA/SIPC member and retired from Commonwealth Financial Network and other equity, mutual funds, and life insurance products in 2012.

Warren was well known for his service within the Hudson community. He served as a corporator of Hudson Savings Bank and was a member of Paul Harris Fellow of the Hudson Rotary Club for nearly 50 years, having joined Rotary International in 1966. He was past president of the Hudson Rotary Club in 1979. In 1990, Warren became a long-time member (Financial Marketing Group) of the Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Warren had a great sense of humor, enjoyed socializing with people, and was always there for anyone who needed help. He was an avid sports fan and always active as a volunteer during his son’s activities in Hudson and at St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury. He was also a member of St. Michael’s Parish in Hudson. Warren enjoyed boating, visiting the ocean in Maine, and spending time with his family. They frequently traveled, having visited all fifty states, many national parks in the United States and forty plus countries.

Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Warren R. Brown, Jr. of Windermere, Florida and two grandchildren, Leilani E Brown and Jacob Z Brown, his late sister, Frances “Taffy”, and many nieces and nephews.

Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home is honored to assist with private burial service at St. Michael Cemetery at the request of the family.
