Antonio C. Cabral, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family by his side on Wednesday, March 31st, 2021 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.  He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Fatima F. (Luz) Cabral; his son Kenny L. Cabral and his wife Lisa of  Hudson; his daughters: Kelly C. Bushey and her husband RJ of Hudson and Wendy C. Boodry and her husband Kenneth of Hudson; his grandchildren: Ethan, Evan, Zackary, Giselle, AJ and Vanessa; his siblings: José Dinis Cabral and his wife Maria, Laura Moreira, Angelo Cabral and his wife Lucia, Angelina Freitas and her husband Julião, Duarte Cabral, Silvino Cabral and his wife Aura, Sandra Cabral wife of late brother Jorge Cabral; his in-laws: Jose Maria Freitas and his wife Fatima, Antonio Luz and his wife Maria, Jose Luz and his wife Filomena, Isidro Luz and his wife Cidalia, Irondina Chaves and her husband Luis; along with several loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and friends.

Antonio was born and raised in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal the son of the late João Freitas Cabral and Alexandrina (Fernandes Chaves) Cabral.  He and the love of his life Fatima were married and immigrated to the United States in March of 1976 settling in Hudson.  Here they raised their family and Antonio worked as a skilled and talented union carpenter with S & F Construction, Local 475, for 43 years until his retirement in 2009.  His dedication and loyalty for his work didn’t stop after retirement, S & F was his second home until recently.  Antonio was an integral member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and received a prestigious guest of honor award for his numerous years of volunteering as a cook, serving thousands of attendees during the annual Holy Ghost Festival in Hudson and throughout many other Portuguese cultural communities throughout the country.  You would find him with his children and grandchildren making his own wine with the grapes he grew each year. He also enjoyed helping family and friends with home projects, fishing, camping and traveling to the Cape.  He and Fatima would regularly travel back to Santa Maria with their family to enjoy their beautiful home in the Lombas, Santo Espirito.  Most of all he loved his wife, his children, his grandchildren and spending time with his family.  Antonio’s smile, laughter and kindness will forever shine over Hudson.
