Doris Carole (Wagner) Warren

Doris Carole (Wagner) Warren; Mother of twins Kristie Hillenburg and Kathie Whitesel, beloved wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, lover of blue birds and Iris' gently passed into the arms of her Savior in the early morning hours of March 16, 2021. She was 88 years old.
Born February 11, 1933 in Silverville, IN she spent most her life in Bedford, IN before retiring to Naples, FL with her husband and love of her life, Harvey E Warren. She spent her final years with her daughter's in Little River, SC and Marlborough, MA.

Doris was a dedicated worker who took pride in her accomplishments throughout the years, retiring in 1988 from Crane Naval Weapons Support Center in Indiana as a talented electronic technician receiving several commendations for her work.

Doris was active in Eastern Star attaining the level of Worthy Matron of her Chapter in Bedford, IN and District Deputy of her area.

Although Doris was small in stature she was unsurpassed in energy and heart. She had a love of life and people that will never be forgotten by those who knew her and those she touched. Her faith carried her through many difficulties and blessed her with things she treasured. We will never forget her childlike heart and infectious smile.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey E Warren, her mother and father Clyde Wagner and Elsie (Goad) Wagner, her siblings Agnes Fish, Helen Reynolds, Janet Lou Wagner (who died in infancy), Clyde "Sonny" Wagner, Kenneth Wagner, and former husband Arthur Dale "Dedo" Hillenburg.

Doris leaves her brother Glessner "Jack" Wagner and his wife Linda of Indianapolis, IN, daughters Kristie Hillenburg and her wife Mary Zaik of Flat Rock, NC, Kathie Whitesel and her husband Don of Marlborough, MA, grand children Aaron Whitesel and his wife Bekah of Auburn MA, Chad Whitesel and his wife Stephanie of Grafton, MA, Sarah Loutsenhiser and her husband Chris of Cape Coral, FL, Owen Whitesel of Hudson, MA, and seven well-loved great grandchildren.

Her family will forever be grateful to the wonderful care and understanding she received in her declining years, first from the Better Day Adult Daycare Program in Marlborough, MA, and finally at Coleman House in Northboro, MA.

A gravesite memorial service will be planned for later this year at Cresthaven Funeral Home and Memory Gardens in Bedford, IN.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's  Association or a charity of your choice.
