Dorothy Ann (Janulewicz) Fisher

May 1, 1936 — August 30, 2021

Of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on August 30, 2021 at her home after a year-long battle with cancer.

Dorothy (Dotty) was born on May 1, 1936 at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Massachusetts to the late Vincent and Stephanie Janulewicz.  She grew up with her older sister, the late Veronica Janulewicz Donovan, in Maynard, Massachusetts.  Her father was from Poland, and her mother was from Rhode Island but grew up in West Concord, Massachusetts.

Dotty is survived by her husband, Ronald (Ronny), her three children, Stephen Fisher and his wife, Shellye, of Lantana, Florida; her daughter, Linda Morfin and her husband, Dan, of Milton, MA; and her son, Joseph, of Boynton Beach, Florida.  She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Dotty met her husband, Ronny, at a dance at the Town Hall in Hudson when she was 16 years old.  She told her children that she and her girlfriends would take a bus on Friday nights from Maynard to Hudson to go to the dances.  There she met Ronny, and they were together ever since.  Three months after she graduated from high school, she married Ronny and made their home in Hudson.  They celebrated their 67th Anniversary on August 15, 2021.

Dotty was a homemaker in the early days of her marriage.  She loved to listen to music and dance.  She and Ronny went out dancing with friends often.  She also loved Elvis Presley and said that she got a babysitter one day when her children were small to go watch a new movie that he was in.  After her children left home, she worked as a Home Health Aid to seniors in Hudson.

Dotty and Ronny were very involved with St. Michael’s Church as well as with the Hudson CYO Band when their children were members.  She was very involved as a mother and chaperone for band competitions as well as exhibitions in Canada, Walt Disney World, the Mardi Gras in New Orleans and many trips for parades.

Dotty and Ronny moved to Boynton Beach, Florida about 30 years ago but always kept in touch with their friends back home.  They made a trip each year to spend their summers in Hudson.
