He returned to work for General Motors for 23 years followed by 22 years with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation until retiring in 2015. Mickey eventually began working at Marlborough Country Club following his retirement, overseeing the driving range and assisting the staff with tournaments and special events. He truly enjoyed the time he spent at the Country Club. He was a member of St. Michael Parish in Hudson and a life member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks.

Mickey enjoyed caring for his home and especially took pride in mowing his lawn. Mickey loved traveling with Paula, his children and grandchildren. Cruises were always a favorite, with the most memorable being Mickey and Paula’s 50th anniversary cruise with the entire family. He always looked forward to spending his summers at South Yarmouth on the Cape. Mickey’s true passion was his family. He was a dedicated Father and Grandfather who never missed a special event. He cherished all the times they shared together and attending the many sporting events of his children and later his grandchildren. He was unique in a special way to all who loved and knew him and will always be remembered for his kind heart and willingness to help others.
