Jay Zwicker, 76, a longtime resident of Hudson, MA, passed peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Westborough Healthcare. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara J. (McNamara) Zwicker.
Jay leaves his brother, Lee Zwicker and his wife Janice of Newburyport, MA; his nephew Carl L. Zwicker of Wakefield, MA and his niece Rebecca L. Parmeter and her husband Seth of Nashua, NH. He is also survived by his step-son Erick Currin and his wife Heidi of Hudson, MA; Erick LaCroix, Trevor Currin and Kayla Currin who fondly loved Jay as their grandfather; Cameron Ellsworth and Ava LaCroix Jay’s great grandchildren along with his very close friend and cousin Jackie Sawyer of Denver, CO.
Jay was born in Boston, MA, son of the late Leland and Betty (Wilcox) Zwicker. He was raised in Lexington, MA attending local schools and was a graduate of Lexington, H.S. Jay was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Hewlett Packard Company for many years until his retirement. He was a member and former Commander of the V.F.W. Post 1027 in Hudson, MA.
Jay was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors. He looked forward to gathering with friends frequently for a round of golf and a day at the beach was always special. He enjoyed the many vacations in Brunswick, ME with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a proud Veteran and family man by those who loved and knew him.
Jay’s wishes were for family to celebrate his life privately. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
