John E. "Jack" Regan

John E. “Jack” Regan, 86, of Westborough, MA, formerly of Queens, NY, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2023 at his residence in Westborough, MA.

Jack leaves his sister, Rosemary Fitzgerald and her husband Kevin of Hudson, MA, his sister-in-law Margaret Regan of Calverton, NY, along with his many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Daniel and William Regan, and his nephew James Regan.

Jack was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Daniel and Helen T. (Kelly) Regan. He attended local schools and was a 1954 graduate of Boy’s High School in Brooklyn. Following high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam War until he was honorably discharged in 1963. He studied at Brooklyn College in New York receiving a Bachelor’s Degree. He began a long career with the New York City Housing Authority eventually having the position of project manager. He also spent several years with OSHA as an inspector until his retirement. Jack has spent the last few years enjoying the hospitality and friendly members at The Willows Retirement Community in Westborough, MA.

Jack had many hobbies and interests throughout his life which included golfing with his brother Bill and his brother-in-law Kevin. He was a patron of the Arts, enjoying theater, opera and the many special events sponsored by PBS. He will be remembered as a quiet, caring and gentle man with a heart of gold by all who loved and knew him.

Jack’s family will celebrate his life at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY with a chapel service prior to Urn burial in the family plot. Date and time will be announced prior to services. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
