Jose Braga, 47, a lifetime Hudson resident, passed away, on Friday, June 21, 2019, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.

Jose is survived by his stepfather and mother, Warren S. and Maria Rosa (Moura Costa) Collins; 5 siblings, Rosa N. Doyle of Winchendon, MA, Stephen Braga of Sterling, Ma, Maggie Braga of Sterling, Ma, Deb Braga of Marlborough, MA and Michael Braga of Southbridge, Ma; his longtime girlfriend, Donna Welton; 8 nieces and nephews, Sheena Mehta, Tyler Doyle, Rochelle Rivera, Zachary Braga, Dakota Braga, Tevin Haywood, Mia Despotopulos and Joseph Scranton, III and 4 great-nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Jose Chaves Braga.

Jose was born in Marlborough, Ma on February 7, 1972. He was raised in Hudson, Ma, where he graduated from Hudson High School. He was a dedicated and hard worker; spending many years as a concrete laborer in Hudson.

Among his many natural talents, Jose was a great musician, he especially loved jamming on the bass guitar with his friends. He loved listening and playing music from his favorite bands growing up, most of all was Motley Crew. He also enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and motorcycles. Jose was generous person with a giant heart, who loved dogs and helping people. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 9 am on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St. Hudson, MA.  Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with his arrangements.
