Judith (Judy) Ann (Corriveau) Vaccari, 82, a long time resident of Stow, MA, died peacefully Monday, November 30, 2020, lovingly surrounded by her three daughters. She is survived by her three children: Erin M. Silva, and her husband, Bob, of Berlin, Lynn M. LaVache of Hudson, and Diane M. Cadrin, and her husband, Leo, of Grafton; and eight grandchildren:  Chelsea Kemp, Danielle LaVache, Arianna Ciesluk, Rachel Cadrin, Benjamin Cadrin, Angelina Vaccari, Olivia Vaccari and Brooke LaVache and three great grandchildren:  Rhys Kemp, Maeve Ciesluk and Quinn Kemp; brothers: Joseph Corriveau & his wife Arlene of Maynard, MA, Walter Corriveau & his wife Joan of Waltham, Ma and Jon Corriveau & his wife Dorothy of Watertown, MA; sisters: Janet Kelley of Woodbridge, VA, Sandra Jordan of LaPorte, Texas and Terry Glovasky & her husband Walter of Ashland, MA and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members & friends.  She is predeceased by her beloved son John F. Vaccari and her sister, Paulette Gustafson

Born in Mars Hill, Maine, she was the eldest child of the late Joseph P. and Nellie M. (Wright) Corriveau.  Her family moved to Medford, MA during WWII and then settled in Maynard, MA in 1951.  Some of her fondest childhood memories where spending summers in Connecticut with her aunt & uncle.  She also enjoyed growing up in a musical household where her mother sang & played the piano. She loved theater, music and going to the movie theater.  Judy was a graduate of Maynard High School and later received her certification in medical administration.  She was a hospital administrator at the Veteran Administration Hospital in Bedford, Ma.  Judy loved her career at the Veteran’s Hospital and was especially proud & honored to serve 25 years.

Shortly after the birth of her eldest daughter, Judy & Francis settled in Stow, Ma where they raised their growing family.  Judy was a devout Catholic and dedicated congregant of St. Isidores Church, Stow, Ma.  She was an active member & volunteered in several capacities including several years as a CCD teacher.  She also volunteered in the Town of Stow and was a Den Mother for the Boys Scouts of America.  Judy was an outdoor enthusiast.  Enjoying cross country skiing, skating, swimming and especially enjoyed hiking for hours in the 400 acres of conservation land surrounding her home in Stow.  She loved taking her children & grandchildren on long hikes in the woods & observing the beautiful wild life.  Judy loved being a member of the Nashoba Peddlers Bike Club.  She was Club President and Secretary.  She met many dear friends & enjoyed long bike rides & trips throughout New England.  She loved & cherished her beautiful gardens, spending hours planting gorgeous gardens.  Many neighbors & passerby’s would stop and take in her gardens.  Each grandchild had their own dedicated section that she meticulously maintained.

She loved animals raising & rescuing many dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, chickens & rabbits. She was also an avid bird watcher. Spending time feeding and observing birds and became an expert at identifying the different species. She also loved playing games and doing puzzles.  She was a talented sewer and painter.  She loved watching sports – particularly the Bruins & Red Sox. One of the biggest highlights was the Bill Lee autographed baseball and watching the Red Sox win the World Series.  Most importantly, Judy will be remembered by those who knew her as a dedicated and honest mother, sister, aunt and a very proud grandmother & great- grandmother.

All are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 4-7pm at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Her Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 10:00am at St. Joseph the Good Provider, 52 West Street, Berlin, MA 01503 followed by burial in Brookside Cemetery, Stow, MA.
