Hudson

Leonard J. (“Len”) Lattanzi, 86, of Hudson, Massachusetts passed peacefully on November 12, 2019 in Northborough, MA with family members at his side. He is survived by his son Michael (and wife Nancy) of Murrells Inlet, SC; daughter Dianne Crisan (and husband John) of Newtown, PA; son Douglas (and wife Sandra) of Kings Park, NY; daughter Donna Kelly (and husband Brian) of Hudson, MA; son Matthew (and wife Michele) of Hudson, MA and 11 grandchildren. Len is also survived by his brother Pasquale Lattanzi of Agoura Hills, CA, sister Antoinette Benequista of New Hyde Park, NY, and sister Sabina Mascola of Valley Stream, NY. He was predeceased by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Dorothy (“Dot”) Lattanzi, and sister Angelina Lanzisera.

Len was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1933 and grew up in Queens Village on Long Island. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy and often shared stories about serving as a Lieutenant JG on his beloved Duxbury Bay (AVP-38). After his service to his country, Len worked for many years as an executive in the manufacturing sector. His favorite hobby was woodworking; he made and gifted many signature pieces to friends and family over the years. Len relished story time, and often spoke fondly of his family’s Italian heritage and classic American experiences.

Early in retirement, Len and Dot built their dream beach house in South Bethany, Delaware. Many happy, lasting family memories were made during the 15 years they spent there. In their later years Len and Dot settled in Hudson to be near family members.

Len will be remembered by everyone who met him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who left a lasting legacy for his children and grandchildren.
